Xiaomi Smartphones Will Soon Detect Hidden Cameras
According to media reports, Xiaomi is planning to introduce a hidden camera detection feature in its smartphones in the near future. The company is currently preparing to launch HyperOS 2.0, and this new feature may be included as part of the update.
Based on information from XiaomiTime, HyperOS 2.0 will likely include a function that allows supported devices to detect hidden cameras by analyzing wireless local area network (WLAN) signals. This functionality could be especially useful for travelers who often stay in unfamiliar places.
It appears that with this feature, Xiaomi phone users will be able to identify suspicious devices connected to the local Wi-Fi network. Judging by the screenshots provided, searching for hidden devices can be done with just one tap.
The new feature is reportedly inspired by a Python program called Ingram, which is designed to detect vulnerable cameras.
