Tor Project Launches “Powering Digital Resistance” Crowdfunding Platform
The Tor Project has launched a crowdfunding platform called “Powering Digital Resistance,” aimed at attracting new users who want to have their own digital space and stay safe online, while also helping Tor operate more sustainably.
Partnership with Mozilla
Through a partnership with Mozilla, users of both the Tor Browser Bundle and Firefox will receive the same benefits when making donations. Additionally, Firefox has recently implemented patches to remove browser fingerprinting, further enhancing user privacy.
Funding Progress and Timeline
So far, Mozilla has raised around $500,000 for this project. The campaign will continue until the end of 2018.
