Poland Introduces Initial Cyber Threat Alert
The Polish authorities have implemented an initial-level cyber threat alert across the country. According to the Government Security Center, this alert will be in effect from January 18 to January 23.
βPrime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has signed an order to introduce the first-level ALFA-CRP threat alert throughout the entire country,β the official statement reads.
The ALFA-CRP cyber threat alert has been introduced due to a potential risk to the security of data transmission systems. However, the Government Security Center did not specify the exact nature of the threats or their possible sources.
βThis is primarily a signal to security services and the entire state administration to exercise increased vigilance. In other words, the state administration is required to conduct enhanced monitoring of the security status of telecommunication and information systems,β the agency explained.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs stated that the introduction of the ALFA-CRP level is a preventive measure and is related to recent cyberattacks that have occurred in Ukraine in recent days.
