Mozilla Releases Firefox 90

On July 13, 2021, Mozilla released version 90.0 of the Firefox browser for Windows (7/8/10), Mac, Linux, and Android. The beta version of Firefox 91.0 also became available for testing.

Key New Features

The most significant update in this release is the improved social tracking protection feature, SmartBlock 2.0. This enhancement greatly increases user privacy while browsing the internet. In Firefox 90, Facebook’s data collection scripts are completely blocked. However, if a user chooses to log in to another website using their Facebook account, the necessary scripts are temporarily enabled to simplify the login process.

Bug Fixes and Security Improvements

According to the developers, Firefox 90 includes various bug fixes and addresses previously discovered critical and potentially dangerous vulnerabilities.
