Free Kali Linux Pentesting Course to Be Streamed on Twitch

Kali Linux Developers to Stream Free Pentesting Course on Twitch

The creators of Kali Linux, Offensive Security, have announced a free live training course, “Penetration Testing with Kali Linux (PEN-200/PWK),” which will be streamed on Twitch at the end of the month. This course is designed to help participants prepare for the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) exam, which was previously held in person before the pandemic. Due to COVID-19, in-person training was paused, and many companies, including Offensive Security, began offering remote online courses. Offensive Security launched the OffSec Academy, a thirteen-week online program to prepare students for OSCP certification.

Now, the company has revealed that it will move its course to a new platform, OffSec Live, where classes will be broadcast live on Twitch. According to the announcement, “OffSec Live is our attempt to take the best of OffSec Academy, along with our knowledge of successful student training, and make it accessible to everyone.”

The course will consist of two weekly PEN-200 streams (each 60 minutes long) on Twitch, which anyone can watch for free. Participants will also be able to interact with instructors and other users on the Offensive Security Discord server.

Classes begin on June 22, 2022, and will be streamed every Wednesday and Friday until November 30. While anyone can watch and follow the streams, only registered students will have access to Offensive Security’s study materials and labs, which are essential for preparing for the sessions.
