British police in the Thames Valley discovered a hidden marijuana plantation in the city of Oxford and left a touching note for its owner, according to BBC News.
The unusual incident was reported by law enforcement officers on Twitter. The post received 146 retweets and 244 likes.
The note read: โOops! We missed you, but please call us at 101 to discuss the matter. With love, TVP.โ The form, which is typically used to notify British residents when police visit their home and donโt find them there, also included the phrase โxx,โ which is commonly used to represent kisses.
Later, police clarified that no one was arrested, but the discovered marijuana plantations were destroyed.
In the comments, many users admitted that the joke was a success. Others complained that funny notes distract officers from โinvestigating real crimes.โ
In April, police in the American city of Wyoming, Minnesota, posted a photo on Twitter of a broken cocktail umbrella that had prompted a call to law enforcement. It turned out that a Wyoming resident found a bag with the umbrella in his wifeโs purse and, for some reason, decided it was drugs.
