Belarusian Cyber Partisans Hack Passport Information System

A hacker group calling themselves the Belarusian Cyber Partisans has announced that they have hacked Belarus’s passport system, AIS “Passport.” To support their claim, the group published the passport data of several government officials online.

The cyber partisans also claim to have gained access to the personal data of the leadership of the country’s security agencies, KGB employees, and people close to Alexander Lukashenko. The hacktivists have promised to make some of this confidential information public.

AIS “Passport” is a tool used to automate the work of passport and visa service departments at the level of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, regional executive committees, and their subordinate territorial internal affairs divisions. The system was developed by NPOOO “TODES” at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
