Unusual Goods and Services on Russian Darknet Marketplaces
Hello, dear readers. This is phØBoŠ and hŮmAnǿ1Đ. We apologize for our long absence and promise to bring you new material at least once a month. We’ve set a high bar for ourselves and don’t want to resort to daily posts or content for content’s sake. We hope you understand—being new to Telegram, we can’t yet attract editors.
Introduction
Since the days of the legendary Russian Anonymous Marketplace (RAMP), darknet marketplace users have noticed that, in addition to drug vendors, there are occasionally sellers offering goods indirectly related to the scene. This became especially noticeable on HYDRA, where sellers of lab equipment, special devices, secure smartphones and laptops, intercom code databases, SIM cards and bank cards, ATV keys, and other related items became a staple.
The presence of such vendors on drug-focused darknet marketplaces is understandable: these platforms generate hundreds or even thousands of times more traffic than most underground forums combined. HYDRA, for example, was a monopoly and attracted all drug users and vendors across Russia, generating massive, solvent traffic every second. Naturally, anyone even remotely related to the scene wanted a piece of that.
Today, with the market split among several major and minor players, the situation with non-drug (non-PAV) goods and services on darknet marketplaces has evolved: there are more offers, more vendors, and a much wider range of products.
In this article, we’ll first give you an overview, then look at each marketplace individually to see what interesting non-drug items they offer.
We won’t focus on common items like SIM cards, bank cards, fake documents and money, secure smartphones and laptops, ATV keys, intercom code databases, fake certificates, IDs, passport modifications, foreign passports, fake stamps, and other familiar goods and services. Instead, we’ll highlight the rarest and most expensive offers.
Bird’s-Eye View
Below is a summary table of the TOP-8 darknet marketplaces and their non-drug offerings. The main ranking criterion is the number of vendors.
MEGA Darknet Marketplace
As seen in the table, MEGA is the clear leader in the number of non-drug goods and services. Reasons include its age, recognition, and successful self-promotion on YouTube.
Here are some of the most interesting items we found on MEGA:
Military IDs and Draft Deferment
- Military ID for 700,000 rubles. Prices have skyrocketed since pre-war times, but for some, obtaining a military ID is now a major challenge, and prices can be astronomical depending on the region.
- Fake military IDs are also available, likely useful for street checks by military police during mobilization.
- Various draft deferment services are offered, including for work, study, or health reasons. The cheapest option is 38,000 rubles for “unverifiable serious illness certificates.”
Cyber Services
- Telegram Hacking: One of the most expensive services, costing 1.5–2 million rubles, with two hacking methods offered. The quality is unverified, and there are no reviews.
- Custom DeepFake: Also pricey, but potentially lucrative for skilled users. DeepFake technology uses AI to synthesize images and replace elements with desired visuals.
- Crypto Laundering Manual: Priced at 5 million rubles, this guide is marketed as highly relevant for those laundering illicit funds. The price may be justified if your operation is large enough.
- Personal GSM SMS Bomber: For 3.4 million rubles, this device can spam SMS within a 1–2 km radius without SIM cards.
- Crypto Drainer: Priced at 900,000 rubles, this tool is used to steal cryptocurrency, especially NFTs and tokens on Ethereum and Solana.
- SeedPhrase Extractor: For 2 million rubles, this tool tricks users into entering their wallet seed phrase, which is then sent to the buyer’s dashboard.
Most of these items are offered by the Shazam store, which also sells drugs and provides services from fake money and documents to turnkey lab construction. We do not vouch for their quality; this is a neutral overview.
- Drone Delivery of Goods: For 650,000 rubles, you can have items delivered by drone. This method is reportedly used to deliver drugs to prisons, though it may not be available in all Russian cities.
- Pardon and Prison Release: The most expensive service on MEGA, at 7 million rubles. There are no reviews, and the legitimacy is questionable, as presidential pardons in Russia are rare and official.
Kraken Darknet Marketplace
Kraken has 124 vendors in the non-drug category, with some noteworthy offers:
Military IDs and Draft Deferment
- Military ID for 650,000 rubles, slightly cheaper than MEGA, with one incomplete review.
Personal Data Lookup
- Comprehensive background check in 300 areas for 230,000 rubles, with many positive reviews.
- Personal dossier for 85,000 rubles, both offered by the same vendor.
Cyber Services
- Telegram hacking service for 1.5–2 million rubles, likely from the same vendor as on MEGA.
- WhatsApp account blocking (including all chats) for 150,000 rubles.
- Deleting a GosUslugi (Russian government services) account for 15,000 rubles. Note: this does not remove you from other government databases.
- Spy equipment is also offered, but details are vague and require clarification with the seller.
BlackSprut Darknet Marketplace
Fewer unusual offers here, but some stand out:
- New Identity: For 600,000 rubles, you can get official documents from a former USSR country, not clones or donor-based, but real new documents registered in all databases. Processing time: 1 month for an internal passport, 2–3 more weeks for a foreign passport.
- Evacuation from Russia: For 500,000 rubles, even for those wanted by authorities.
- Internet Data Removal Service: Price depends on the source of the information to be deleted.
Solaris Darknet Marketplace
Solaris doesn’t offer anything particularly unique, but has a wide range of documents, SIM cards, bank cards, and other essentials for the underground scene. Multiple vendors offer fake IDs for various law enforcement agencies.
- The most expensive item found is a ready-made grow box for 228,700 rubles, which is well-assembled with quality components.
OMG!OMG Darknet Marketplace
With only 58 vendors, OMG!OMG doesn’t have many unique offers, but does sell military IDs at a third of the price of competitors—just 190,000 rubles.
- Other expensive items include lab equipment, such as a chemical filter for 180,000 rubles or a kit for synthesizing 25 kg of 4-MMC for 750,000 rubles.
Other goods and services are standard for the scene: bank cards, ATV keys, SIM cards, and other classics that have been sold since the HYDRA days.
WeedCat, o3shop, and Green World Marketplaces
No interesting non-drug goods were found on these marketplaces. Their offerings are typical or related to marijuana cultivation, which fits the platforms’ focus.
