First Medical Cannabis Vending Machine Installed in Athens

The first vending machine offering medical cannabis products has been installed in the center of Athens, Greece. Both locals and tourists can now choose from over 450 different types of products available in the machine.

This innovative vending machine was set up by the Greek company “Hemp Oil.” It is important to note that all products sold through the machine are completely legal and do not contain THC, the psychoactive compound found in cannabis.

Company Plans and Expansion

According to Christos Botsis, the company’s director, “This idea was presented by our company at the ‘Balcannabis Expo,’ and the first machine has been installed right in the heart of the city. We plan to install another vending machine in Thessaloniki, right across from the White Tower.”

Botsis also mentioned that in the coming days, the company plans to open a natural products store and a chain of shops selling CBD oil. In total, the company aims to produce more than 450 different CBD-containing products.

Legal Background

Since March 2018, the Greek Parliament has passed a law allowing the cultivation of medical cannabis for medicinal purposes.
