Virtual Dispensary: Higher Life CBD Launches Metaverse Shopping with Real-World Delivery

Higher Life CBD Creates a Virtual World for CBD Shopping with Real-World Delivery

Amid the growing popularity of metaverses and NFTs, several cannabis brands have been searching for innovative ways to capitalize on digital trends. However, one company has gone further than the rest by connecting the “virtual” world with the “real” one.

Recently, Higher Life CBD became the first cannabis brand in history to launch a real dispensary in the metaverse, offering customers a fun shopping experience in virtual reality. All they need to do is visit the website, approach the counter using their avatar, and make their purchases. Unlike other solutions, here customers buy actual physical products (such as tinctures, creams, capsules, and other CBD items) and wait for them to be delivered to their homes.

“The coronavirus pandemic made many companies think about safe alternatives when it comes to working with staff and customers. For some, this means looking beyond the physical world and thinking outside the box,” explained company CEO Brandon Howard. “VR and AR have changed the way we think about shopping in the future. Buying in the metaverse and then receiving products at your doorstep is a breakthrough. This is the point where NFTs, cryptocurrency, and the cannabis world intersect.”

The dispensary was launched on a private server in Cryptovoxels—a metaverse built on the Ethereum blockchain. Here, players buy land, build stores and art galleries. This metaverse is focused on art, and anyone can visit a variety of exhibitions.

“It’s amazing to be the first cannabis company to enter the metaverse,” says Howard. “Here, we interact with customers without being physically present in our dispensary, and that makes online shopping more engaging.”

Howard added that when visiting the virtual dispensary, customers can listen to music and view a collection of NFT artwork displayed on the walls.
