Trump Considers Supporting Marijuana Legalization in Florida

Donald Trump has recently indicated that he is considering supporting the legalization of marijuana in Florida. He made this statement at a recent conference, just as Florida is preparing for a November referendum on the issue.

Trump noted that as cannabis becomes legal across the country, it becomes increasingly difficult to justify keeping people in prison for something that is now legal. If more than 60% of voters support the initiative in November, the law will go into effect next May.

This position could create a conflict between Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is actively opposed to marijuana legalization, citing concerns about its smell and potential health risks. However, polls show that the majority of Florida residents support legalization.
