American Rappers Take on the Kush Up Challenge During Quarantine
Due to the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, many people found themselves isolated from society. To make their time in quarantine more entertaining, American rappers decided to take on the Kush Up Challenge.
Who Has the Biggest Lungs?
The “Kush Up Challenge” was invented by rapper Gillie Da Kid. The rules are simple: you have to take 10 hits from a joint without exhaling any smoke. Gillie completed the challenge and then nominated Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and G-Herbo to try it next.
Snoop Dogg accepted the challenge and recorded a video in which he smoked a joint and completed the task on his second attempt. During his first try, Snoop accidentally exhaled smoke through his nose between the seventh and eighth hits. However, on his second attempt, he successfully matched Gillie Da Kid’s achievement.
Jim Jones went above and beyond in the Kush Up Challenge. He managed to take 10 hits and hold the smoke in for 20 seconds, all while ignoring jokes from his girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin.
The Coronavirus Epidemic: A Perfect Time to Smoke
The United States and Canada have seen a significant increase in marijuana sales. American retailers reported revenue growth ranging from 15.9% to 33%. Stores in Los Angeles saw the average purchase amount rise by 38%, and the number of home delivery orders for cannabis increased by 38% as well. Residents of Colorado, Oregon, Alaska, Nevada, and Washington spent 33% more on marijuana than usual.
Some Canadian cannabis companies decided to close their stores; for example, Canopy Growth suspended operations at 23 retail locations. Companies that continued serving customers reported a significant increase in revenue—between 80% and 100%. OCS Communications Director Daffyd Roderick stated that people are stocking up on marijuana to make self-isolation easier. According to Canadians, marijuana is perfect for lazy leisure time.
