Tor Browser 10.0.2 and Tails 4.12 Released

The release of the specialized distribution Tails 4.12 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System) has been announced. Tails is based on Debian packages and is designed to provide anonymous internet access. Anonymity in Tails is ensured through the Tor system. By default, all connections except those routed through the Tor network are blocked by a packet filter. User data is encrypted when using the persistent storage mode between sessions. An ISO image is available for download, which can run in Live mode and is 1 GB in size.

• New versions of Tor Browser 10.0.2 and Tor 0.4.4.5 are included.
• A button has been added to cancel automated updates during the boot process.

At the same time, a new version of Tor Browser 10.0.2 has been released, focused on anonymity, security, and privacy. This release is synchronized with the Firefox 78.4.0 ESR codebase, which addresses seven vulnerabilities. The NoScript 11.1.3 extension has been updated. JavaScript control at the Safest security level has been restored in the NoScript extension, and the javascript.enabled setting in about:config has been reset to true.
