Doctors Recommend MJ-Based Treatment for Children with Cerebral Palsy

Swiss researchers surveyed 70 doctors from Europe, North America, and Australia who have experience treating children with cerebral palsy. According to the survey, 47% of these doctors prescribed cannabis-based medications to their young patients as an additional therapy. These treatments were most commonly recommended to help manage epilepsy, seizures, pain, and spasticity.

Furthermore, 69% of the doctors agreed that cannabis-based medicines have either a “strong” or “moderate” effect on the symptoms of cerebral palsy.
