Volunteers Help Save Cannabis Farms in Israel During the Gaza Conflict

During the peak harvest season, many workers in Israel had to leave their homes to defend the country or to ensure their own safety due to the ongoing war in Gaza. As a result, many patients who rely on medical cannabis prescribed by their doctors risked losing access to their medication.

To address this shortage of labor, several cannabis farms called for volunteers from across the country. The response was overwhelming, with many volunteers stepping upβ€”most of them retirees. Their support has allowed cannabis companies to continue operating even in the absence of their regular workforce.

At the same time, authorities are doing everything possible to protect cannabis businesses from criminal groups. Every volunteer is required to provide their personal information, which is then checked by the police. Additionally, taking photos or videos on the premises of active farms is strictly prohibited.
