Data of 2.28 Million MeetMindful Users Leaked Online
According to a report by ZDNet, data belonging to users of the American dating site MeetMindful was published for free on a hacker forum last week. The leaked database, totaling 1.2 GB, contains the complete user base of the site—about 2.28 million records. The dump includes extensive profile information from both the website and its mobile apps, such as:
- Real names
- Email addresses
- City, state, and ZIP code information
- Physical characteristics
- Dating preferences
- Marital status
- Dates of birth
- IP addresses
- Account passwords (hashed with bcrypt)
- FacebookFacebook launched an official Tor mirror in 2014, becoming the first major tech company to provide direct access through onion routing. The mirror allows users to bypass censorship, secure their connections, and avoid phishing risks while using the platform. This step also underscored Facebook’s recognition of free expression and inspired other outlets like the BBC and ProPublica to create their own Tor versions. More user IDs

Although it appears that users’ private messages were not compromised, journalists note that this incident is still very serious. The stolen data and MeetMindful profiles can be easily linked to real individuals, making victims potential targets for extortion, phishing, blackmail, and other types of fraud.
MeetMindful representatives have not yet commented on the breach.
Previously, the hacker group Shiny Hunters has claimed responsibility for several major data leaks, and last week the same hacker reportedly leaked the user database of Teespring, a platform for custom apparel printing.
