Russia to Develop Drones for Tracking Objects in Forests

Russia is set to develop unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) capable of flying at high speeds through forests to search for various targets, such as fugitives. This was reported by TASS, citing the State Research Institute of Aviation Systems (GosNIIAS).

β€œIt will be simply impossible to escape such pursuit. The drones will mark the location of objects and continuously transmit their coordinates to the control center,” said Boris Vishnyakov, Deputy Head of the Software Complexes Department. He is confident that the creation of such drones is a matter of the next two years.

In the civilian sector, these UAVs can be used to search for, track the movements of, and photograph rare animals.
