Lime Scooter Accounts Sold on the Darknet

Lime Scooter Accounts Listed for Sale on the Darknet

A user on the darknet is selling Lime scooter accounts on various online marketplaces. According to the seller, these accounts allow users to access Lime’s services for free. The accounts being offered are described as verified and valid. After purchase, the accounts are automatically removed from the seller’s database, as stated in the listing. The price for one account is 13 euros.

Lime is a company that allows users to rent scooters in major cities through a dedicated app, as reported by Motherboard. With access to one of these accounts, users would not need to pay Lime for using their scooters.

“Although this is not due to any vulnerability in the Lime app, such illegal and unacceptable behavior violates our company policy. We remind users that sharing account credentials breaches the user agreement and may expose them to cyberattacks,” a Lime representative said.

In the future, Lime plans to require iPhone users to log in using their Apple ID and will prohibit the use of credentials that have appeared in data breach lists from the popular service HaveIBeenPwned.

It’s worth noting that last month, unknown hackers compromised thousands of Disney+ streaming service accounts and put them up for sale on Reddit and other online forums.
