Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield Launch “Holy Ears” Cannabis Gummies

Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield Present “Holy Ears” with MJ

Heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson has decided to bury the hatchet and start working with his longtime rival, Evander Holyfield. The two athletes have teamed up to launch cannabis-infused gummies called “Holy Ears.”

Iron Mike Shares Cannabis Profits with Holyfield

In March 2022, Tyson’s cannabis company, Tyson 2.0, introduced THC gummies called Mike Bites, shaped like bitten ears. The product was inspired by the infamous 1997 fight between Tyson and Holyfield, which ended with Tyson’s disqualification for biting Holyfield’s ear.

Many sports fans suggested that Iron Mike should share the profits from the ear-shaped gummies with Evander. Tyson listened, and on November 14, he announced a partnership with Holyfield. As part of the deal, Tyson relaunched Mike Bites under a new product line called Holy Ears, named in honor of Holyfield. The new line features ear-shaped gummies containing:

  • THC
  • Delta-8-THC (a THC isomer)
  • Cannabinoids extracted from industrial hemp (apparently CBD and cannabigerol)

Pre-sales for Holy Ears began on November 14 on the Tyson 2.0 website, with flavors including cherry pie, watermelon, sour apple, and blueberry. A pack of gummies costs $29.99 and contains 10 “ears,” each with 10 mg of THC.

Holyfield Enters the Cannabis Market

Tyson launched his cannabis company in 2016, while Holyfield only decided to enter the cannabis industry this year. He signed a contract with Carma Holdings, the parent company of Tyson 2.0. The multi-time world boxing champion plans to launch his own line of cannabinoid products in 2023, with support from Carma Holdings experts.

Holyfield commented on the partnership with Tyson: “Mike and I have been rivals for a long time and have always respected each other. That night [when Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear] was a turning point for both of us. As strong athletes, we ignored the pain we had to endure. Now, almost 20 years later, we have the opportunity to share with people the medicine we needed during our sports careers. It’s an honor for me to join the Carma team and partner with Mike in launching Holy Ears.”
