Bezalel Prelude: Wireless Charging Power Bank for Smartphones Unveiled

Bezalel Introduces Prelude: A Wireless Charging Power Bank for Smartphones

Despite all the advantages of modern smartphones, they almost all share the same issue: a battery that, at best, lasts only half a day with active use. Since new types of batteries are still in development or exist only as prototypes, the solution has been found in external power banks. However, with the rise of wireless charging, charging devices themselves needed to evolve. Bezalel is one of the first companies to introduce such a gadget.

Features of the Prelude Power Bank

The new external power bank is called Prelude. It can attach to the back of a smartphone, after which the device begins charging wirelessly. The battery has an attractive design and supports all modern devices, from the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S6 to smartphones from LG, Sony, and even BlackBerry. The gadget measures 11.4 cm in length, 6.9 cm in width, and 1.7 cm in thickness, with a capacity of 5000 mAh.

Innovative Attachment Method

Similar devices have been introduced before, but most used magnets to attach to smartphones, making them incompatible with plastic phones. In contrast, the Prelude uses suction cups for attachment, which, unlike mechanical elements, do not damage the phoneβ€”even if you use it without a case.

Advantages of Wireless Charging On the Go

While this approach might seem unusual, it offers a clear advantage: with standard wireless charging, you can’t comfortably use your phone while it’s charging. Prelude overcomes this limitation, and does so without any wires.

Successful Kickstarter Campaign

It’s worth noting that even the developers weren’t 100% sure there would be demand for such a charger, so they launched a campaign on Kickstarter. However, at the time of writing, the project had already raised over $45,000, far surpassing the initial goal of $20,000. With three weeks left in the campaign, you can still participate in funding and receive this innovative device for personal use. Prelude shipments are scheduled for December of this year.
