Essential Software for Security and Anonymity

Below is a minimal set of software tools recommended for ensuring your security and anonymity online. These programs help protect your identity, encrypt your data, and manage your digital footprint.

1. STZBlaster – This program allows you to change your PC name, host, CPU ID, HDD volume, MAC address, and much more. It also lets you modify regional settings.
2. RMOSChange.exe – This tool changes HTTP headers in popular browsers (Mozilla, Internet Explorer, and older versions of Mozilla). It helps mask browser version, language, and user-agent. If you use American or foreign dedicated servers, SOCKS, or VPNs, you should adjust settings for Internet Explorer, as it is the most commonly used browser in those environments.
3. SMAC 2.0 – This program spoofs the MAC address of your network card. Changing your MAC address once a month is recommended for better anonymity.
4. Privacy Suite Main Menu – Encrypt and hide your TrueCrypt containers inside jpg or wav files. You can also create a secure vault and permanently destroy files. The software allows you to encrypt data on a flash drive and open encrypted containers without reinstalling the program.
5. TrueCrypt – In my experience, this is the best software for data encryption.
6. Proxyfier – A simple proxy tool that lets you specify which applications should use a proxy.

8. VPSProxy – A new and arguably key software on this list. It uses uploaded gateways on shells, hosting, or servers as SOCKS proxies. Its main feature is that the incoming and outgoing gateways are constantly changing. Use only on top of VPN/SSH.
9. VMware Workstation – The most popular program for system virtualization. Why use it? If your browser has scripts enabled (which is often necessary for shells), your OS language is transmitted along with your IP, DNS, etc. The process is simple: install VMware, get a backdoor patch (or use a public one if you find a clean version), and run all your gray-area software inside the virtual machine. If you sense something suspicious, use Privacy Suite to wipe data and format the virtual disk to NTFS.
10. O&O SafeErase – A trustworthy program for permanently deleting files. It offers multiple operation modes for secure erasure.
