Hackers Leak Cracked Version of Hitman 2 Three Days Before Release

Hackers Leak Cracked Hitman 2 Three Days Ahead of Official Launch

Hackers have once again outsmarted anti-piracy technologies. This time, cybercriminals managed to crack and leak Hitman 2, developed by IO Interactive, just three days before its official release.

The developers of Hitman 2 had chosen the latest version of the Denuvo anti-piracy protection system. The game was scheduled to launch on November 13, but now fans of free games no longer have to wait for the official date.

It turns out that a group of hackers obtained the version of the game intended for pre-order customers. After gaining access, they cracked it and uploaded it to various torrent trackers and pirate websites.

However, not everything went smoothly—some users on Reddit reported that the cracked version of the game either doesn’t launch at all or only works up to the end of the prologue.

Denuvo 5.2 Protection Already Compromised

It’s worth noting that just five days after the release of the new Denuvo 5.2 protection system, a group called FCKDRM managed to crack it. This means that new games using this version of Denuvo are now completely vulnerable to hacking and cracking.

Currently, it’s known that Football Manager 2019 uses this version of the anti-piracy system. There is also information that The Quiet Man uses Denuvo 5.2 as well.

Law Enforcement Targets Notorious Hacker

In July, law enforcement authorities caught up with the infamous hacker known as Voksi, who had previously managed to crack Denuvo’s protection system. His apartment in Bulgaria was searched, and his computer equipment was confiscated.
