Rossiya Airlines to Share User Data with Security Agencies
During monitoring of the ORI registry, another major newcomer was discovered: Rossiya Airlines. This is one of the largest airlines in Russia and is part of the Aeroflot Group. For reference, Aeroflot itself was added to the ORI registry in October of last year.
The registry entry can be found here: reestr.rublacklist.net/ru/disseminator/109837.
On the company’s website, there is a feedback form, and the Privacy Policy warns customers that their data is collected and may be shared with third parties.
Rossiya Airlines is the largest and main carrier at Pulkovo Airport (Saint Petersburg). It operates flights from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport to central Russia, cities on the Black Sea coast, and five regional centers in the Russian Far East. The airline also has regional hubs at Krasnoyarsk’s Yemelyanovo Airport and Sochi (Adler).
What Does Inclusion in the ORI Registry Mean?
Participants in the ORI registry are required to store user data, including all actions and interactions, and provide this information to the FSB (Federal Security Service) upon request. This also applies to correspondence, audio, and video calls (if such services are available).
Therefore, we recommend that all users of such services carefully consider the potential risks and make their own decisions about whether to continue using them.
